Aerospace Rotational Dynamics Simulator is designed as a learning aid for students of aerospace engineering or physics. It focuses on the attitude and rotational dynamics of rigid bodies. Use it to experiment with the following concepts:
- Euler angles
- quaternions
- direction cosine matrices
- angular velocity and momentum
- space and body cones
- Poinsot's construction
- gravity gradient torque
- attitude control system torque
It is assumed that you have taken or are currently taking a course covering most of these topics (or perhaps plan to someday). This is in preparation for courses in aircraft stability and control, space environment torques, and others.
